Conveniently located near I-35 between Des Moines and Minneapolis, events held at our facility attract visitors from Iowa and surrounding states. If you are planning a major convention or a wedding reception, a family reunion, a picnic, or a seminar, this is the place for you. Some events (annual and/or rotating) held here: The World Famous Lipizzaner Stallions; National Trappers Association National Convention, Pyrotechnics Guild International Convention, Monaco Coach Corporation National Rally, ABATE Regional Motorcycle Swap, Iowa Home Improvement Show, Iowa-Minnesota SportShow, Midwest Alpaca Jamboree, and AKC dog shows. Also, political rallies, for Al Gore and President George W. Bush have been held here. Our arena allows us the opportunity to host many horse events and we are the home for North Iowa Outlaws Junior A Team, Mohawk Hockey, Mason City Youth Hockey, and North Iowa Figure Skating. I-35 Speedway, which lays claim to being the best 1/2 mile dirt track in the region, has races every Sunday evening April through September, as well as special races throughout the summer.
